The Feelings Are Folded In

Our Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Cookies are made with simple ingredients; flour, sugar, brown sugar, canola oil, baking soda, sea salt, and eggs.  Ah the eggs.  Not just any eggs, but organic eggs from B&L 4E farms down the road from the Granolary.  Its not just folding the eggs into the batter that makes these golden brown, soft, delicious cookies.

It's taking the drive up the windy road to the top of Old Indian, past the beautifully preserved barns,

flock of honking geese,

and into a small building where a refrigerator holds my (hands off) liquid gold for the days baking.  Could I use other eggs?  Of course, but the feeling of working with others, coupled with the beauty, serenity, and integrity of their farm, is folded in as well.
